Kingston Carnival - Enabling Communities and Celebrating Diversity through music and culture
A major aim of Kingston Race and Equalities Council is to promote good relations between persons of different racial groups. By organising the Annual Kingston Carnival, we raise awareness of diverse cultures by bringing together different local communities to experience a range of music & culture and food, in a family friendly Carnival atmosphere. This event enables facilitation, interaction and engagement with all and is inclusive for everyone across the Borough and for our wonderful visitors.
Why the community needs usKingston Carnival helps people experience local amenities and enables them to promote their services to the public. A variety of stalls offer a wide range of foods from around the world with local and national artists given an opportunity to showcase their talents on two music stages as well as participating in the midday procession. The Carnival has been an annual success since its birth in 2000, growing in size over the years. We count on your support to continue this story!
Our impact on the communityKingston Town Centre welcomes over 80,000 Carnival goers on this Sunday in September, so we reach out to everyone to support this extraordinary event. The overall costs for the Carnival are approx. £40,000 - sponsorship packages are available on request offering different possibilities to promote your business. You can sponsor a range of items e.g. the Market Place or the Community Stage, the family area, banners and floats, lamp posts, stewards, goodie bags or the whole Carnival.
