Why the community needs usThe impact of the service is to relieve current NHS over-demand and waiting times. It will improve health within the community and champion services and inter-agency working within this specialised clientele. The services and resources will assist the local and wider community as it provides a training centre for medical professionals working within this field. This will enhance interest and draw specialist medical professionals to Wales.
Our impact on the communityThe NHS does not cater for intensive rehabilitation of brain-injured children ANYWHERE within Wales or the South West of England. The nearest suitable facility was at the Childrens Trust in Tadworth, Surrey (www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk), but this specialist facility is limited to 49 spaces. Kyle's Goal is to provide a Gold Standard Service for the Children and Young Adults of Wales.
