We help people like you and me who are finding themselves in difficult circumstances at some stage in their lives. We offer legal advice and representation on: benefits law, employment rights, nursing home and long term care at home, mental health law, trafficking and labour exploitation. We work for progressive change in these areas. We also support refugees through our policy work. We empower frontline advisers in their advice work through specialist training and information.
Why the community needs usWe work throughout Northern Ireland, defending the rights of employees, people with disabilities, families in need of state support, migrant workers, young people who have been trafficked or people subjected to forced labour etc. We make our clients get the money and support they are entitled to. We fight test cases which benefit whole categories of people.
Our impact on the communityIn 2014-15, we answered nearly 9,000 phone advice queries, took on over 400 new cases, trained over 700 people, and had over 200,000 visits to our online guide.
