Empowering people post 14 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to gain a sustainable lifestyle in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.Running, Monday to Friday 10-4pm a helpline. Providing outreach for isolated clients, one to one support for meetings/appointments using experienced advocates. Help with form filling for housing/other areas. Support for carers, families and involved professionals. Devising strategies for clients to survive.Lobbying for vital services.Providing social activities.
Why the community needs usThere are no specific public services for this minority client group whose costs are often carried by the family. This can lead to devastating situations when parents are no longer there or cannot cope anymore or clients can be isolated.Lifeworks will step in with their unique services to rebuild their clients lives. This may include rehousing, giving advice and guidance,offering strategies to cope with life. Providing outreach,support with paperwork and appointments, social activities.
