Our aim is to improve abstinence and recovery from addiction through ongoing support and aftercare.
We believe that recovery is about people (re)building meaningful and valued lives, where they can realize their aspirations, be treated with respect and dignity, and contribute to society. Our vision is to provide ongoing emotional and psychological support in a peer-led community setting, with professional help from experienced recovery coaches in a warm, friendly and informal environment. We also aim to create a space for clients' self-realisation and opportunities for growth.
Why the community needs usWe are a community based recovery centre with an all addictions approach, and we welcome everyone who needs support. Our long term goals are complete abstinence from all mood altering substances and harmful behaviours, and to gain or return to employment and independent living (where appropriate). We would like to make continuing support accessible and approachable and create a recovery community that will help to raise awareness and put a face and voice to recovery.
Our impact on the communityWe support on average 130 service users annually. We have identified four outcomes: 1. increase self-awareness, sustained abstinence and recovery, 2. reduce vulnerability and isolation, 3. improve mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing, 4. enhance people's ability to interact and contribute in communities.
