We manage a woodland, provide training, activities for children, and host social events.
We aim to enhance the bio-diversity of Llyn Parc Mawr, an area of woodland in Anglesey which is home to a thriving red squirrel population. We have a group of dedicated and committed volunteers following a structured 10 year management plan. We host and organise many events in the woodland for the local and wider community, including educational events such as Forest School sessions for children. We also provide a variety of training courses from yurt building to fungus identification.
Why the community needs usMany people already use the woodland for walking, it is our hope to encourage more people to use the outdoor space and through working together to build a sense of ownership and create bonds to strengthen communities.
Our impact on the community
We would appreciate any amount of help that people can give, lots of practical work to be done but other skills are also appreciated
