NWAMI, North Wales Association for Multicultural Integration was founded on 11th March with three Directors. On 16th June 2015, the operational name "Centre For Cultural Engagement" was launched by then Minister for Community and Tackling Poverty.Aim of NWAMI/CCE is to promote community cohesion and and social Integration between local people and incomers in Wales through learning and cultural engagement with an outcome of reducing hate crime.We educate and engage people in diverse culture&faith
Why the community needs usWe live in a multicultural society but many people in our community are not acquainted with diverse culture/custom/faith exist in their community therefore there is fear of unknown and intolerance/hate crime grow from that fear. To minimise that fear and reduce Hate Crime, we have taken the mission to offering opportunities to learn about diverse culture and faith through proper training/workshop sessions and organising regular cultural events, seminars, We invite public to attend free of cost.
Our impact on the communityThough registered name is North Wales Association for Multicultural Integration, our operation through the centre for Cultural Engagement benefits people directly to the people of North Wales and indirectly to the people of UK and beyond.We publicise our organisation and activities through social media and get positive responses. We also encourage local talents in the fields of Arts,Crafts, Music, Dance,Creative writings etc to join us get trained to then show case their talents to wider public.
