Services provided include: risk assessment and referral of service user at high risk to MARAC (Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conference) led by police; safety plan and action plans; help with accessing legal, medical, financial and housing advice; accompanying to court, child protection meetings and other agency appointments; help with travel and childcare costs; outreach and home visits; structured and more informal group work; onward referral and signposting.
Why the community needs usDomestic abuse is a hidden problem which affects all members of the families it occurs in, including children. People suffering this abuse may develop physical as well as mental health problems. Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services provide local individuals and families in need with assistance and critical services.
