Notts CYP provide Events and Training for young people in the City and County of Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire Clubs for Young People (Notts CYP) deliver events and training for youth provisions throughout the City and County of Nottinghamshire. There are over 60 youth groups affiliated to our organisation predominantly from areas of deprivation and rural isolation. We engage with the young people from the groups offering fun and stimulating activities and training giving them the opportunity to mix with other young people from other youth projects.
Why the community needs usThe training and events offered at Notts CYP helps to build a cohesive community where strong and positive relationships are being developed between young people from different areas and backgrounds. Notts CYP aim to tackle barriers that young people face and promote participation in positive activities, helping the young people to become more confident individuals and responsible citizens by enhancing their social and personal development and divert them away from anti-social behaviour.
Our impact on the communityThrough participating in the training programmes that Notts CYP offers and achieving additional awards and qualification it helps to improve a young person's C.V, enhancing their employability. The training programmes will develop their personal skills, communication skills, confidence and self-esteem helping them to achieve their full potential and lead a better quality of life. The training will give young people a positive focus and help them to realise they have a responsibilty to society.
Notts CYP have a Volunteer Committee VOAM (Volunteers on a Mission) and are always looking to recruit new members. Volunteers support the training and events calender and fundraising evenings/events.
