OTC creates theatre projects with children and young people with learning disabilities
Through its Open Theatre Interactive Programme, OTC aims to develop the creative and life skills of a wide range of children and young people with learning disabilities in Birmingham and Coventry and support their transition and integration into adult life. It does this through its specialist theatre practice known locally as 'shystering' - named after The Shysters who were a company of actors with learning disabilities based in Coventry from 1997 - 2011.
