Active & dynamic self help volunteering charity for disabled and older people - holders of Queen's A

Hanging on in there! Nobody foresaw 2 years of no income or activity for small charities such as us. We now face increased inflation and rapidly doubling or trebling of energy costs.

We are determined to maintain a presence and continue supporting local people. Please help us if you can.

Why
We believe in the talents and skills of people with disabilities and older people.

What - we encourage and support people who want to volunteer and be involved in the community regardless of age or disability.

How - Our various initiatives create empowerment environments where people can demonstrate positive role models and challenge negativity and prejudice. see http://www.oysterproject.org.uk

Why the community needs us
Our members volunteer and provide valuable opportunities for other people like them to volunteer and contribute in ways that are appropriate to them.

Our impact on the community
We have operated groups for craft, art, astronomy, dance, film making, drama, DJ training, online radio, Food Bank etc - we aim to be self-funding for our core activities. All our members have a disability, a majority of our trustees are disabled.
