We are a group of parents providing play & recreation facilities where children/young people from the North East with disabilities/additional needs & their families can come along & have fun! The Tim lamb Childrens Centre in the Rising Sun Country Park is fully accessible with a 'Changing Place' We are currently developing a programme of play, activties, clubs & groups for children/young people from 0 - 25 years, their siblings, parents & carers A haven where the whole family can relax!
Why the community needs usWe are providing social opportunities for those who have experienced difficulties accessing community facilities with their children because their special needs are complicated & sometimes challenging We have a dream to create a unique, non judgemental environment,which alleviates stress for the whole family & where our children can express themselves safe from ridicule On our wish list is an accessible 'allotment' & some specialist bikes/trikes for older ones to ride about the park on
