We provide grants to Plymouth's voluntary sector to develop wealthy, healthy and lively communities.
Plymouth Drake Foundation is a community charity solely for the benefit of Plymouth. We are all about developing wealthy, healthy and lively communities in Plymouth. In order to do this we raise money and distribute it to local community and voluntary organisations in the form of grants. We are also working to create, develop and manage grant funds that will aid the voluntary and community sector in Plymouth in years to come.
Why the community needs usWe support Plymouth's voluntary and community sector by providing grants to help them support local people. Profits from our Charity Shop in Plymstock, Plymouth will also be used for our grant giving.
Our impact on the communityIn the last 10 years we have distributed over £717,000 of grants to over 260 Plymouth community groups. Groups such Open Hearts Open Borders, Horizons, Plymouth Foodbank, Drake FC, Farms for City Children, Pioneers Project CIC, Millfields Inspired, Plymouth Youth Sailing Club and Wheelfever Projects CIC have all benefited from grants. We work with other organisations to distribute grants including Devon Community Foundation and the Zone.
