The Poppy Centre Trust-investing in the future of young people in Stalham and surrounding parishes.
The provision and maintenance of an amenities centre for the benefit of the inhabitants of Stalham and its surrounding parishes without distinction of political, religious or other opinions including use for meetings of youth associations and other forms of eduction, recreation and leisure time occupations in the interest of the social welfare of the inhabitants and with the object of improving their conditions of life.
Why the community needs usOnce established the building will provide young people with a safe, secure environment in which to meet where they can develop life and social skills, increase self-esteem, build confidence in their own abilities, express themselves, work as a team member and all importantly to have fun and everyday adventure.
Our impact on the communityThe goals for the project are as follows:
1. To provide a safe and secure environment for young people to meet.
2. To provide facilities for young people to engage in positive activities addressing health, social, educational and physical wellbeing.
3. To act as a means of prevention, occupying young people's leisure time so as to reduce the risk of them becoming involved in antisocial behaviour.
