Quadrant Leisure (Quadrant) was founded as a community interest company in November 2013.
We initially developed focusing on sports coaching and group activities for young people. Just prior to the pandemic in 2020, we re-focused our provision to engage with children and young people most in need and hard to reach including those with disabilities or additional needs. Our provision now involves work within educational settings offering after school clubs, holiday clubs, mentoring and personal development programs. We have also developed our first SEN HUB, which is an exclusive social drop-in facility for young people aged 14+.
In 2022 we delivered a number of kitchen workshops to young people with learning and additional needs. This has now developed further and expanded in to what is now known as
Pretendy Chef Workshops, offering children, families and school groups food education, cookery and nutritional workshops and classes.
Our VisionFor all children and young people, regardless of background, ability, or disability to reach their full potential.
Our MissionTo provide children and young people across the North-East area with fully inclusive experiences and opportunities to flourish and lead a positive life.
Our Aims
To work with children and young people who are disadvantaged and experiencing multiple problems and difficulties due to their personal and/or family situation
To enable and support each young person to recognise and understand their personal barriers to progression, helping them to overcome these barriers
To offer short, medium, and long-term interventions and support, to enable each young person to achieve their full potential socially, personally, and educationally
We have a wide range of opportunities for volunteers to give something back to the community. Those wishing to volunteer must be reliable, honest, hardworking and most importantly prepared to go above and beyond when supporting the community.
