Providing Reiki Healing Treatments to anyone in need

a) The provision of Reiki Therapy for those living with various serious conditions, including cancer, in the Milton Keynes area, their carers, helpers and families primarily by the provision of Reiki. We also aim to provide information, non-medical advice and support in a welcoming atmosphere. The Reiki Support Group holds a clinic at The Well at Willen on the second Thursday of every month - starting at 7.30 pm. There are no formal charges, but donations are requested.

Why the community needs us

Individual well being is enhanced by Reiki treatment; we have feedback from individuals who have been experiencing serious health conditions that their regular Reiki treatments have made them feel uplifted and more able to cope with their medical condition and the resulting mental and emotional stress for them. Additionally we offer treatment to their families and carers, who enjoy similar benefits from receiving Reiki

Our impact on the community

The Reiki Support Group has been running since 2003 and continues to provide healing treatments to anyone who seeks it, irrespective of their background or ability to pay. All our healers are volunteers, who generously give their time every month, enabling us to provide 230 individual healing sessions in 2011. We have benefitted from 187 individual volunteer attendances in 2011, resulting in 561 hours of voluntary service at our treatment evenings. 2012 will show increased attendance figures.

Volunteers needed

We are looking for volunteers willing to help set up our treatment room once a month; a web-master who can develop and update our new web-site; a Receptionist to meet and greet our clients; support is needed to help make our clients and healers refreshments; also assistance to help put our equipment away. The group meets on the second Thursday every month. Anyone interested need not be Reiki trained, but must follow our Code of Practice, an interest in complimentary health would be welcomed
