Right Resolution Community Interest Company (CIC), formed in 2007, which is not for profit and is required to provide benefit to the community. Our commitment is to use our expertise to empower, involve and develop the potential of vulnerable children and young people through advocacy, social education and participation. Our work supports young people to develop holistically as well as empower young people through the transition into adult life.
Why the community needs us
In 2017, 40% of care leavers aged 19-21 were NEET, compared to 13% of that age group in the general population. This has been associated with negative long-term consequences, including higher rates of homelessness, mental health problems and imprisonment.
Our organisation works to help care leavers join education, employment or training through a variety of projects, such as our discovery days, as well as providing other projects, such as the sanitary ware project '
Jeevan' to help combat period poverty for this at-risk group.
Our impact on the community
Our organisation has helped reduce the number of care leavers not in education, employment or training (NEET), reduce social isolation, raise the profile of young people leaving care as well as help young people achieve their individual aspirations. With our unique approach and intentional, conscious support we allow care leavers to be in control and make decisions on their destiny.
