Time to Smile
For one day during the summer holidays we want our children and young people to remember what being young is about and that is to have fun. Their lives have been anything but fun but this will be a day that is exclusively devoted to them from start to finish. We will take care of everything so they can focus on switching off and forgetting about their home-life. Accessing an activity of their choice, with a few extra treats thrown in we will make sure their day is carefree and fun.

Domestic Violence and Abuse incidents in homes across Rochdale are well above the national average, often where there is significant socio-economic disadvantage, drugs and/or alcohol abuse and incidents of poor mental health. Many children take on the role of carer for their siblings and parents and are often emotionally traumatised by the abuse, suffering from associated feelings of guilt, anxiety, stress and fear.
They need a day where they can be children again
Plan and expected results A carefree day of complete freedom and release from their day to day existence, enjoying an activity that they could only ever have dreamed of will provide amazing memories for the children and young people we raise enough money to help and remind them, if only for a short time that they are still children. By providing a day devoted to them we hope we can convince them that their lives can be different in the future and that by attending and engaging in school this can be achieved.
