Everything Safe and Sound does is focussed on ending exploitation, sexual violence, and abuse.
We provide specialist support to children and young people affected by sexual exploitation to help them move to a place of safety, and deliver training and resources to enable others to identify and support those affected by this, and other forms of exploitation and abuse. Safe and Sound gives children and young people a space where they feel safe and listened to and helps to prevent young people at risk of sexual exploitation from becoming victims in the first place.
Why the community needs usOur impact on the communityIn the last year we: provided direct, specialist support to 134 young people in Derby and Derbyshire who were victims or potential victims of child sexual exploitation. This is a 54% increase from 2014-15. We have provided advocacy support through our Independent Sexual Violence Adviser service to 49 young people from Derby or Derbyshire going through the Criminal Justice System as victims of child sexual exploitation.
