SPSAS Loneliness Project

We are running an erray of on-line events for our members on out social group, this included and is not limited to Bingo, DJ events, Mental Health Presentations, Games such as beat the intro, on-line video chats, all that have gone down really well!

Why they need our service

SPSAS usually hosts meet ups all over the UK to help combat loneliness and isolation for members. We also finding meeting other people in a similar situation is helpful and less daunting. We are now having to adapt to the current lock down implications but have realised this is a great project moving forward to keep running long after lock down has finished.

Plan and expected results

We are seeing an increased in members being lonely and their mental health suffering, the events we have run so far have been really well received and very much enjoyed. This is helping members feel better and we will continue to this long after lock down to keep members feeling positive, we have other event ideas in the pipeline :)
