Through working in all areas of stage craft - including the support of performances through stage-management, technical support, marketing, costumes and make-up - young people are encouraged to develop the self-confidence and personal qualities that will sustain them through life. Team-working, self-respect and respect for others are key to our ethos.

Why the community needs us
St Ives Youth Theatre has positively impacted the lives of over 200 teenagers and young adults since it's inception. The company is proud is count members of the National Youth Theatre and National Youth Musical Theatre amongst it's alumni.

Our impact on the community
Feedback from current and past members is very positive. Members build strong, positive bonds with one another & help to create a very supportive environment. Ancedotal evidence supports the premise that members find job interviews and induction less stressful and are better able to communicate. Previous Members have reported that they felt better able to come to terms with troubling personal conflicts or feelings (such as their sexuality or family stress) by being part of the company.
