At Splash! we are passionate about making a positive impact and a real difference to local children and families. We aim to be fun, creative, real and relevant to the needs of our local communities. All of our work grows from from strong and supportive relationships with schools and at the heart of community and family life. The objects of the Splash Trust are to advance the Christian faith and to advance and support the education and welfare of children, young people and families in West Sussex
Why the community needs usOur small team of part-time staff and volunteers run a range of projects in the South Downs area ranging from Worthing to Horsham, and Duncton to Albourne. In schools we provide assemblies and holiday clubs. In the community we are invloved in messy church, local school and village fayres and we support local churches and other community groups.
Our impact on the communityParents have said "Lovely friendly welcome, fun & educational, this would really benefit lots of families".Another parent said "It was fantastic to have an organised event based towards fathers and children. It was great to just spend quality time with my young man, and see him happily playing with other school friends, and to be a part of it." A local Teacher said "a different girl... a real improvement in attitude and effort ... more calm and relaxed ... turning into a pleasant young person"
Most of our volunteers work with children and young people. Volunteers need to undertake an enhanced DBS check . We can also use volunteers who are more comfortable working in supporting roles eg with administration or in publicity/marketing role
