It's our vision for every young person facing adversity, including homelessness, to realise their aspirations and reach their full potential. We passionately believe in supporting local young people who are going through hard times. Our unique step by step approach, providing accommodation, personal development opportunities, and specialist support services, helps young people identify their aspirations and reach their potential.
Why the community needs usOur work is transformative, enabling young people to become thriving members of the community. Social impact benefits include a reduction in long-term homelessness, more young people entering into education, training, and employment, and a reduction in offending rates.
Our impact on the communityIn late 2016, we commissioned a study on our Social Return on Investment. The resulting report demonstrates that for every £1 invested in Step by Step's work, we return over £5.60 in social value to the communities that we are operating in.
We are always looking for voluteers to help with fundraising, to assist at drop-in advice centres and, if you have particular skills, to offer training to the homeless and vulnerable young people who we are assisting. Please contact us to discuss what you could offer.
