Brighton | Community Support & Development
St. Luke's is available for all who live in the parish or the wider city, whether people regard themselves as churchgoers or not. The church is here to help foster community and to provide help to any and all who require it.
Why the community needs usWe provide activities and groups for families and children including a youth club for 11-16 year olds, a parent and toddler group and a homeless drop-in for those sleeping on the streets or who are vulnerably housed or lonely. Our church building is used for community meetings and events and is a venue for music and art activities as well as a centre for a good neighbour network.
Our impact on the communityWe feed 60-70 homeless every month, we provide a youth group for 30-50 young people on a fortnightly basis and our parent/toddler group regularly consists of 30-40 adults and 40-50 children.
