We support and care for people with life threatening illnesses as well as their families and carers
We aim to improve the quality of lives of patients and their families; enabling patients to live as fully as possible, with dignity and free from unnecessary pain and fear. Our aim is to manage pain, symptoms and medication to enable people to return home where possible. We believe that patients should be cared for in accordance with their wishes, participating in all decisions relating to their care and comfort.
Why the community needs usOur staff and volunteers provide vital care and support to people in need. We see around 2,000 people per year throughout West Suffolk and South Norfolk, either at the Hospice or in a patient's own home. We also support and train local health and social care professionals. Since we began we estimate we have supported over 50,000 families.
Our impact on the communityOur mission is to work compassionately in the fields of life-threatening illness, death and bereavement by: enabling patients and families to live with illness and bereavement; giving specialist care; empowering communities to care for those affected; teaching and influencing other professionals.
