To tackle disadvantage, social exclusion and hardship in local communities. To reach out to people to equip them with the skills to improve their economic situation, to reduce their social isolation and to convince them that they have a valuable contribution to make to society. We run training, learning and mentoring programmes for young people and adults, nurturing skills for life, learning and work.
Why the community needs usWe believe everyone gains when people who start from a situation of being economically disadvantaged and socially marginalised move to improve their skills, become more confident, feel they have a stake in society and are more motivated to do positive things in their own lives and for the community.
Our impact on the communityWe engaged 2,800 people last year in learning and community activities, building lifeskills and resilience, supporting with mentoring in difficult times, reducing social isolation, raising aspirations and improving employability.
