Surviving Winter Northamptonshire supports elderly people in the county during cold winter months
The winter can be one of the hardest seasons to get through for the most vulnerable in our community due to isolation and cold. We are predicted a cold winter ahead and we are calling on everyone to support this vital appeal to enable us to help even more people and remind them that they are not forgotten.
Why the community needs usFuel poverty is a real issue - if you are in receipt of a winter fuel allowance please think about giving this to Surviving Winter 2016 to ensure those who are less fortunate can stay warm and healthy this winter. Your donation will help make a difference and every penny raised will be passed to those in greatest need. The Community Foundation manages the distribution of the fund and works closely with organisations who work with the elderly and vulnerable.
Our impact on the communityThanks to the work of Surviving Winter Northamptonshire, the number of excess winter deaths has been reduced from 362 to 325 in recent years.
