Sustainable Hayfield is a local community group committed to promoting sustainable ways of living. We seek to do this through awareness-raising and local projects. We are currently raising funds to support our "Community Garden" project. Starting with the library garden, we are using unproductive plots of land to grow fruit and vegetables for community use and thereby inspire and enable others to acquire the skills to "grow your own".
Why the community needs usWe strive to help those that want to live more sustainably to over come the challenges of doing so and to inspire others to make such life style changes, thereby creating a more sustainable, self sufficient and resilient local community.
Our impact on the communityPlease come and join us if you share our vision of achieving sustainable living. We are particularly looking for people with gardening experience to support our "Village Garden Project", through which we aim to turn unused areas of land into productive allotments for community use.
