Giving young people a safe place to be with people to talk to where they can be heard and supported
Our purpose is to provide an environment for young people where they are encouraged to live their daily lives to the best of their abilities, being supported and challenged along the way. We work alongside young people to enable them to understand their purpose and motivations and therefore reach their potential in life. Our aim is that the young people will take ownership of the projects they belong to and help us to turn them into something that meets their needs and inspires them.
Why the community needs usOver the years we have supported literally thousands of young people on their personal journeys. Many have felt better about themselves, many have become more resilient and stronger at coping with lifes challenges, many have built new friendships and felt more secure and many have served others giving the best of themselves encouraging other young people.
Our impact on the communityWe have about 300 young people on our register and see about 130 of them each week. We are proud of the young people who spend time with us as they meet and exceed in personal challenges, as well as create a community of maturing and serving young people.
We are currently looking for volunteers. if you are interested or know people who might be then we are holding a volunteer evening at the centre on Wednesday 2nd November from 7.30pm - 8.30pm. Please pass it on. Thanks.
