Our purpose is to help and support children, young people and adults with learning disabilities to have the same opportunities in live that most people take for granted. We recognise the unique value of each individidual by helping them to meet their needs in a professional and dedicated way. Through promoting choice, independance and full participation in the community.We take every opportunity to promote their rights and oppose any form of discrimination.
Why the community needs usOur impact on the communityWe run 2 residential homes, 1 nursing home, provide an excellent outreach service and during school holidays run a summer scheme. We have 26 residents, we give an outreach service to an average of 55 children, young people and adults each week. The summer scheme gives 65 children/young people aged from 8 - 19 with learning disabilities 10 days of fun. On average The Mayfield Trust provides a service to 80 children, young people and adults with learning disabilities each week.
