We provide safe spaces for young people to fail, reflect, explore and develop qualities to succeed
Our main aim is to ensure all young people are enabled and equipped to overcome barriers to progressionand accessing wider opportunities. We do this byproviding young people with safe spaces to reflect, explore and fail safely, whilst they develop the skillsand qualities to succeed. We also consultant and train in how to enhance youth engagement.It is our ultimate mission to increase social capital and improve social mobility to end the circle of poverty for all young people.
Why the community needs usAs a community based youth organisation we know our services users extremely well and adapt well to changing needs. We offer a strong support network where young people can grow their social currency and learn from good examples. Because we are an agile organisation we are able to deliver all of our youth activities and mentoring on housing estates and within local areas that are accessible to the young people we serve.
Our impact on the communitySupporting 40 young people during the Covid-19 lockdown we are providing free online tutoring, informal learning and mentoring sessions. Regular feedback from participants has shown that participants have been able to meet up friends from their housing estate safely online, improve their communication skills and confidence. Overall for young people who do not have access to safe outside space, they have maintained their mental wellbeing and improved their attitude towards learning.
