The Parent Teacher Association is a very active group which successfully raises funds to benefit all children at Theydon Bois Primary School.The PTA fully funds the school swimming pool and helps to fund resources such as playground play equipment, reading materials and the school minibus. We have previously purchased a new stage to help children to experience the joy of performing to one another, parents and the wider community.
Why the community needs usTheydon Bois Primary School PTA enjoys playing an active role in village life and has strong community ties. We hold annual events such as fireworks night and a Christmas fair that is well attended by the community of Theydon Bois. We enjoy participating in community events such as the Donkey Derby and the annual Christmas market.
Our impact on the communityThe PTA focus on fundraising to provide resources to help our children to gain maximum benefit out of school life and support and inspire their learning environment. We have recently successfully financed the replacement of the school swimming pool changing rooms.The PTA are passionate about the importance of children being safe and confident in and around water and introducing them to a sport that can bring lifelong health benefits. We are now directing our efforts into other school projects.
