The Tove Valley Centre will be a much-needed community resource that will serve the needs of the rapidly expanding population of Towcester and its surrounding rural villages in South Northamptonshire. It will provide a range of facilities available for use by individuals, families, groups, schools and organisations, some of which do not currently operate locally. Accommodation will include a large, flexible, multi-purpose hall, a commercial kitchen and three separate meeting rooms. The foyer will serve as a display area and socialising space. It will not only provide a place for worship for Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship, that will manage the Centre, but it will provide the church with a much-needed base for its existing activities currently run from hired venues across the town. It will enable some of this provision, such as a thriving Youth Group and very popular Toddler's Group to be expanded as well as the development of new services such a Luncheon Club for older people.
Why the community needs usThe Tove Valley Centre will provide opportunities for people to socialise, make new friends, and build support networks in a safe and inclusive environment.
Our impact on the communityWe anticipate that the Tove Valley Centre will have an important role to play in Towcester's recovery from the impact of COVID-19. Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship already works collaboratively with other Groups in the town and looks forward to developing new joint ventures with other Voluntary and Professional Groups that will enable people to access the Tove Valley Centre and find the support that they need.
