Transition Larkhall

We want to improve our local community's environment through the small actions each of us can take.

Transition Larkhall acts as a forum to discuss and action environmental issues in and around the Larkhall area. We advocate community involvement, and encourage the reduction of emissions, protection of the Earth's natural resources and environmentally sustainable ways of living. We aim to bring together a diverse range of individuals and groups to discuss all aspects of sustainability and we recognise that each of us has a part to play, however large or small.

Why the community needs us
Our projects include award-winning Alice Park Community Garden, in Alice Park, Gloucester Road, Bath BA2 7BL
Our vegan garden is created and maintained by local volunteers. Always open, we offer a regenerative space for people to reconnect with their role in the ecosystem; sow seeds, tend to plants and grow in community. A sanctuary for people and wildlife and a social hub for gathering. 24/7, open-to-all, inclusive, interconnected & informative we grow local, seasonal food and make it available to the wider community. The garden provides a place for people to learn new skills & deepen their relationship with nature. Workshops are seasonal and based on sustainable food growing, cooking and using natural materials for dyeing, weaving and wildcrafting to build local skills and resilience.
