We are an amateur swimming club coaching swimmers of varying abilities from around Deeside
We coach swimmers predominantly aged 7-18, who wish to develop their skills through competitive & recreational pathways. Being an indoor sports club enables us to offer training to children all year round. Being located in a rural area we offer a crucial amenity to boys and girls from a large geographical area, aiming to be available and affordable to all & supporting the Scottish Governments drive to get more Scots active.
Why the community needs usThe fundamental aim of the club is for the children to develop a positive sporting attitude, a life-long interest in swimming, personal fitness and health. Being a member of the club also helps develop general life skills such as social interaction, personal discipline and commitment.
Our impact on the communityOur swimmers train between 2 and 6 times a week and can progress through the squads. We encourage them to represent our swimming club by entering local, regional, national and international competitions. Within the clubs 35 years we have produced 3 swimmers to have been selected to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games.
