Why the community needs usWe address the needs of the Black and Ethnic Minority Community who are elderly, poor, and socially excluded. To ensure they get socially included we provide a range of health & fitness activities to bring about an improvement in their wellbeing.
Our impact on the communityWe have seen an increase in muscle strength and flexibility in the lives of our users over a period of time. 40% of individuals suffering from severe arthritis said the area has now become less painful 50% of those who had lost confidence in walking has become more confident and does not depend on support any longer. Another 10% said they can do much more for themselves now. Other feedback include I can now get down the stairs without crawling on my bottom, I feel strong all over.
Volunteer Admin worker. This person will be highly efficient, motivated, literate, lively and intelligent, with excellent IT skills, great attention to detail, a cheerful telephone manner, a can-do work ethic and an interest in the third sector.
