Helping to ensure the River Wear is conserved and valued by the whole community.
To conserve, protect, rehabilitate, and improve the landscape, rivers, streams, watercourses and water impoundments of the Wear catchment, County Durham, including Weardale, the Lower Wear and adjacent estuarine and coastal areas. To help educate people about the importance of the wear and to assist with environmental projects to ensure a longlasting positive impact on the wear system. So that the River Wear is valued and enjoyed by all.
