We are the Heart Charity for Wales where all Money raised in Wales stays in Wales.
Established in 2013, we distribute Life Saving Defibrillators, give FREE CPR Training and offer Heart Screening sessions across Wales. With 8000 Sudden Cardiac Arrests in Wales every year (outside of hospitals) and only a 3% chance of survival, we install the skills in to communities to act in an Emergency. With effective CPR and use of an AED, survival chance rises to 49% and above; Preserving Life and providing community Life Savers!!
Why the community needs usWith a Sudden Cardiac Arrest, 10% of life is lost every minute unless immediate Life Saving CPR is given. Welsh Hearts has a mission to install a Defibrillator in to every school in Wales and ensure children are taught life saving skills and Life Support. With 12 young people dying every week of undiagnosed heart condition, our Heart Screening sessions are a vital part of our Cardiac Arrest prevention Programme. Our impact on the communityWelsh Hearts is saving lives every day with its Defibrillators, Heart Screening and CPR skills. By June 2017, We had placed over 600 Defibrillators in to Welsh Communities, trained over 22,000 people to do CPR and screened over 900 hearts. We are actively engaging with community groups, schools, businesses, emergency services and the general public everyday. A Welsh Charity saving lives in Welsh Communities....
