Our purpose is to help all children access enriching experiences that inspire curiosity, deepen self-belief and broaden perspectives. Our vision is a world in which children are able to overcome adversity and reach their true potential. Working with children aged 8-12 from low income backgrounds we aim to develop the social and emotional skills that are key to accessing employment and living a rewarding life.
Why the community needs usOur impact on the communityOver the past year, we have run six holiday programmes with over 100 children, from 9 Bristol primary schools. We have also ran a mentoring programme with one secondary school working with specifically chosen year 7 students in order to ease their transition into secondary school life. In our summer 2015 programme, 86% of children wither agreed or strongly agreed that they had developed their confidence and/or curiosity.
We are looking for volunteers to help with fundraising, to be a part of our mentoring scheme and to support staff on our enrichment days.
