WOMEN'STEC is a charity that provides education and employability programmes to women in the area of non-traditional skills (trades, ICT, and horticulture). We provide accredited training in plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating, tiling, horticulture and IT. TEC stands for Training, Enterprise and Childcare, and WOMEN'STEC provides these supports to women, supporting them to realising their full potential.
Why the community needs usWOMEN'STEC has a proven track record of engaging women who would be recognised as 'hard to reach' including lone parents, women with no or low educational attainment, women with poor physical and/or mental health and women who have experienced trauma either domestically or within the wider NI conflict context.
