🏃🏼‍♀️10k in aid of mental health🏃🏼‍♀️

.Hi everyone, I have decided (& I’m dragging jay) to participate in a 10k run in aid of mental health this is organised by #Teamrunderwear & #mentalhealthmates on Saturday 3rd April..As you all mostly know, last October my family lost our Joe suddenly, sadly taking his own life. This absolutely crushed us all as a family especially his children and we only wish he knew how much he was loved and wanted on this earth. Also due to the ongoing pandemic this problem is happening more & more. Every single day in every single city! .My mum (joes sister) is in the process of setting a charity up in joes honour through centre 63 in Kirkby. Joes charity will specialise in support to men of joes age range & circumstances they can find themselves in due to broken down marriages, losing their jobs, homes etc. They don’t have anyone to share their problems with, they keep them bottled inside until it gets too much. Support and help of finding housing, updating cvs, counselling would be a few of many services offered and a potential life line for them.. Now more than ever help is needed for men as there are no socialising aspects of life open for them to chat with friends (pubs/cafes/gyms/football matches) they are a lot less likely to open up to people like us women (we love a gab) although this problem is 100 percent affecting women too, men are usually less open to ask for help or support!.Running really isn’t my thing 😩 and 10k may not sound like a huge achievement to some, but I wanted to push myself and do something for a good cause and I think this cause is needed more now than ever. If it could save 1 person then that’s unbelievable to me!.Link in my bio for donations, all proceeds will go to charity ‘Go to Joe’ no matter how big or small every donation is truly appreciated ❤️.
