Hi my name is Andre

Thanks for taking the time to look into my fundraiser and hopefully donating to a wonderful cause, my aim is to raise a minimum of £300 for this CIC, and this is going to involve me doing something I have never done before and I'm looking forward to completing with a really good friend of mine. We are going to be walking to the summit of Snowdon on the 14th June 2025.

Why am I doing this???

Quite simply I have seen an increase in men coming forward and opening up about their mental health and their struggles and I want to do my part in supporting organisations that are on hand to help these men. Suicide has become all too real in my local community recently and I believe we can all be a shoulder for someone to lean on from time to time.

So what is Men’s Minds Matter???

They are a CIC (community interest company) they are passionate about men’s mental health, suicide intervention and prevention, and specialise in developing and delivering psychological interventions for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, while also advocating for and raising awareness about male suicide. 

Three quarters of all completed UK suicides are by men

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50

A man dies of suicide every two hours

85% of all rough sleepers are men

Men generally report lower levels of life satisfaction

Men are less likely to access psychological help - with only 36% of

referrals to NHS talking therapies being for men
