The Ring of Fire 2023; a 250-mile cycle over 2.5 days in May.
The ride will support three charities, with two relating very close to our family.
- Willen Hospice; as a family, we experienced the incredible care and support the hospice provide with my Mum last year. It’s very difficult to articulate the work they do and the impact they have on everyone who is in need their support.
- Motor Neurone Disease; impacted our family with my Granddad and countless other families in the UK. Gloucester Rugby's Lock, Ed Slater, was diagnosed with the condition in 2022. This charity event will contribute to the Ed Slater MND Appeal (4ED).
- Milton Keynes Rugby Club, like so many other similar organisations across the country, provide free access to the sport for hundreds of children and adult players. Run by volunteers, charitable events like this provide invaluable equipment and facilities to these volunteers, allowing them to provide training, coaching and support for generations to come.
Once my dad and brother had signed up, it was very difficult for me to avoid taking the challenge on. I’m recently the proud owner of a bike and failing to keep up with the old man during our training rides
Before donning the Lycra in May, my fellow riders, the charities and I will be very grateful for any donations BIG or small!
Thank you!!
