Hi!
In a bid to raise awareness and funds for Cambridge Community Arts (and all things going smoothly) I’m cycling from Cambridge to Istanbul.
Wholly inspired by my friend Lauren’s solo effort (see her website for amazing travel adventure journalism), I’m crossing Europe using only pedal power.
Cambridge Community Arts is a charity I've recently become involved with and I'm so proud to represent. By providing an eclectic range of creative courses, Cambridge Community Arts aims to lower social isolation and improve mental health, educational endeavour and employability skills. Having met many of the beneficiaries, I'm absolutely glowing with excitement with what Cambridge Community Arts provides. For many, the arts courses offer a creative outlet, a safe space to meet with friends, and an avenue of hope. It's tough to quantify the value the charity lends.
The journey is ~4,600km and will take approximately three months. I’ll hope to document my time as thoroughly as there is demand, primarily via my instagram account (@lilmaffew).
It would be a real motivational force if you would consider sponsoring me by financially supporting Cambridge Community Arts. To learn even more about the great work Cambridge Community Arts does, please do visit their website.
Cheers,
Matt
well done my boy
great work!. Pete and Kate, Ask B if you donrt remember us:)
Bravo! "A time of Gifts" is coming your way. It is an account by Patrick Fermor of his winter walk, in 1933 when he was 18, from The Hook of Holland to Constantinople. Many similarities!! B & Liz.
