I’m proud to be hosting a charity darts event in support of Men’s Minds Matter – an incredible charity dedicated to preventing suicide in men through psychological support, awareness, and early intervention.

This cause is deeply personal and urgently important, as someone who has had their struggles with mental health.

Every week in the UK, 125 people take their own lives — and three in every four of those are men.

Even closer to home, between the years 2010 and 2017, Warrington had the highest suicide rate for males in the North-West: 14.7 per 100,000 deaths. Depression affects 25% of all males, and certain jobs put males at a much higher risk, such as construction, transport, and working nights.

Men’s Minds Matter focuses on creating spaces, resources, and strategies to help men when they’re at their lowest. Reaching out for help can be the difference between life and death.

This event is a chance to raise awareness, spark conversations, and raise money that can support real change.
