Vicky and myself will be running the Birmingham 10k on 31st May to raise money for WEARE: Women Empowerment and Recovery Educators
A small charity based in South Birmingham who offer support to women who have gone through, and some still experiencing, Domestic Abuse. They deliver a whole range of awareness and empowerment programmes, providing support to overcome the effects of their experience. Each session explores abusive tactics, controlling behaviours and belief systems of the dominator and the effects on women’s health and well-being. They assist in building confidence & self esteem and look at ways to develop positive life style coping strategies.
Good luck!
