About

Undertaking a long, tough, walk is my choice - I like a challenge - but for many it is a gruelling escape. I'm supporting a local charity working with refugees and asylum seekers providing them with a range of services - a welcome, support and a safe place in Swindon. Escape is part of my family's recent history too but due to colonial ties to Britain their passports enabled them to flee and start a new life in the UK. I hope these funds allow The Harbour Project to help other families do the same.

Update from Sarah

Walk done! Thanks so much for your support. Time taken 11:27...position 86/267. Not bad considering the training. Only a few blisters and aching muscles to deal with now.

About Trek Fest The Beacons

The Brecon Beacons National Park is full of stunning scenery, rolling countryside and impressive mountains. This incredible mountain range runs through the centre of South Wales and is a training ground of the SAS – it will test me to my limits with challenging climbs and steep descents. The 50km route ventures to the summit of Pen Y Fan – the highest peak in southern Britain.
