Hey folks,

Some of you may know me, some may not but either way I am Alex and I am a man with mental health issues.

So why am I doing this challenge a lot of you will ask?

Well after my own recent battles with mental health, without the help and support I have received I could have easily been one of the stats that these guys work to help prevent.

On the 14th of June I intend on doing a climb up Snowden with a difference.

This will be arriving at the summit at sunset and descending the mountain under a blanket of stars to arrive back at base camp of the town of Llanberis at around Midnight.

This will be a once in a lifetime experience and to see a beautiful part of the country at a time when you wouldn't normally and Snowdonia National Park has been awarded an International Dark Sky Reserve status of which there are just ten of these magical reserves in the world. Meaning that on a clear night you can see the Milky Way, all the major constellations, nebulas (bright clouds of gas and dust) and shooting stars.
