Suzy's 5k for Money A+E!

Hi, my name is Suzy and I will be fundraising for Money A+E's Cost of Living Crisis Appeal by running 5km in the Money A+E Walkathon* 2022!

***Update*** I did it! After several weeks' training for the Walkathon, I made it round - 5k! 🥵
 
💚 I am fundraising for this cause because I am deeply worried about my brothers and sisters around me who are struggling. People on low pay and many people on benefits were already on a knife edge before energy and food prices started going up so fast – and now things are becoming even more impossible.
 
I see the impact that Money A+E makes every day, and I know that it provides really effective support to fight debt and poverty, and improve people's mental health in the process.

By donating to the Money A+E Community Fund, your support will provide:

1-2-1 debt, benefits and money advice sessions for those in financial difficulty. Money A+E’s expert advisers support people to manage debts and to maximize their income. 

Emergency grants for households in the most severe financial hardship. Money A+E provides grants of £100-350 to help cover food and utility bills in a time of crisis.   

Financial education workshops that build long-term financial resilience for individuals and communities. Click here to learn more about the difference your donation will make. 
 
There is a cost-of-living crisis happening right now in our communities.
   
Food and rent price rises are rising far beyond wages. Average energy bills have risen by an incredible £700 per year.

More and more people are facing ‘deficit budgets’: meaning that their income simply does not cover their household expenses.
