Arts Drop

Arts Drop is a project managed by the charity - the Creative Learning Guild with support from Community Foundation for Calderdale.

We provide simple, fun and inspirational arts activities for 1000s of vulnerable children throughout Calderdale. Boosting their creativity and emotional wellbeing during this difficult time.

The Children’s Commissioner has reported that the great majority of children with a social worker are not attending school, and other community hubs are closed. Many children are living in overcrowded or inadequate accommodation and exposed to risks including neglect, domestic abuse, substance abuse and parental mental health problems.

We have worked with artists and organisations throughout Calderdale to create arts activities that children can do independently. We have also sourced arts materials which are being distributed for free to thousands of vulnerable children. We are working to protect the wellbeing of children at risk and to make sure the most vulnerable families don't miss out during lockdown.
